I wouldnt consider myself a Call of Duty fan-boy, but I was determined on obtaining Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 back when Call of Duty 4 was launched.
As the majority of you currently recognize, I rarely actually acquire video games that dont provide some form of multi-player and commonly will only acquire video games for its multi-player element, but I did really play the entire single player campaign in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and I should say that I did take pleasure in it even whilst playing through a second time. The story was good, it absolutely was somewhat baffling at times, but it tied in fairly well with exactly where the story left off in Call of Duty 4 and offered answers to numerous unanswered concerns.
The only real point I absolutely did not like in regards to the single player campaign in Modern Warfare 2 was that, for the most part, it absolutely was fairly painless on the hardest difficulty setting. Now, I did not say always, as that’s absolutely not true, there were occasions where I got very aggravated considering the fact that there were just so large a number of enemies at a given time on every side and it made me very aggravated, but other than that, the single player campaign was delightful and a refreshing new video game to play through.
So far as the controller layout goes, it is precisely the same as in Call of Duty 4 and it absolutely was great for that video game and is still absolutely faultless now. So far as Im concerned, the control scheme alternatives in COD4 and MW2 are the greatest layouts that have ever been put together for any online game. One can find a few other control layouts that you can choose from and pretty much all of those layouts are great as well. Some of the optional layouts take just a little while to get accustomed to, but as soon as you are accustomed to the new control scheme, you are unstoppable!

So after putting in above 360 hours of online play, I think I can give a pretty good overview of what its all about. For the most part, almost everything is better balanced. The maps are laid out okay, and most of the perks and weapon attachments work fantastic. This being said, there are definitely negatives to go along with the positives. Now, dont get me wrong here, Im not intending to go over everything that’s correct in this online game, since it would take too long. Instead, Im intending to try and go over some of the main weak spots inside the online feature of this online game, simply because I believe this would be a good deal more valuable to potential buyers and/or past owners.
Here we go, lets get started now relating to the bad elements. So far as Im concerned, one man army is really the only sketchy perk. On its own, there is nothing wrong with it, and it can be exceptionally effective depending on your position, but utilized in the hands, it can be implemented in an particularly annoying way that will make any person just want to basically break their controller until the pieces discontinue flying.
Next up, we have death streaks. To just be up front and honest, being honored for dying, in my opinion, is just moronic. There ought to be no need for this if the spawn structure was properly thought through, which, unfortunately, it most definitely is not, but if you are applying death streaks for anything but to battle the very poor spawn structure, then you’ve no excuse, you’re a noob.
On that note, I may as well touch at the spawn process seeing as I already opened that can of worms. With out jumping into a huge rant, basically the spawn structure works very well in most situations, but on the occasion, it works just about as efficiently as an Xbox 360 with the RROD. It doesnt help you by any means, it may cause you intensified rage, and it can make you wish to toss your console out the window of a 3 story or higher structure. Im quite positive that that could be pretty much all I’ve to say about that, because if you have played a fair number of games and game varieties, you know precisely what Im speaking about.
Just one other issue that works just like that, would be the matchmaking solution. The online game automatically selects what lobby its going to put you in. This means, you could be put in a lobby that has eight seconds left during the game and it is virtually unachievable for you to win. This definitely upsets me to no end. There is no simpler method to ruin my joy to just chill out and play some Modern Warfare 2 then when I fire it up and join a game on a team that has been just getting merced. It is not fun in any respect, in reality, most of the time if this happens I will simply shut the PS3 system off right then and there and do some thing else instead.
So far as weapons go, they’re pretty much well balanced now. During the beginning there was a huge dispute in regards to the model 1887s, but thanks to every one of the complainers, they got nerfed and now are about just as beneficial as throwing a rock at another person. In terms of the remainder of the guns go, they’re all exceptionally effective and in the case that you dont respond instantly, you will die free of even knowing what went down.
